Program Educational Objectives (MET)


  • Diploma Program Educational Objectives

    • MET EOD1: Provide a broad-based curriculum in Meteorology Program that generates graduates having competency in weather observations, meteorological instruments, coding/decoding meteorological reports, weather charts plotting and analysis.
    • MET EOD2: Provide students with laboratory and on-the-job training and practice experiences associated with each of the competency areas outlined in Objective EO1.
    • MET EOD3: Provide students with teamwork experiences and capable of solving technical problems in their specialized range of activity while demonstrating effective communication skills and knowledge of related contemporary issues.
    • MET EOD4: Provide students with an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility and the ability to engage in, life-long learning.

     

  • Higher Diploma Program Educational Objectives

    • MET EOHD1: Provide a broad-based curriculum in Meteorology Program that generates graduates having competency in a wide range of complex technical-level and professional-level work activities in many fields such as weather stations, weather forecasting centers, assistance of weather forecaster in extracting data, preparing weather charts, dealing with public, extracting weather product and other meteorology divisions.
    • MET EOHD2: Provide students with laboratory and on-the-job training and practice experiences associated with each of the competency areas outlined in Objective EO1.
    • MET EOHD3: Provide students with teamwork experiences and take technical decisions, supervision and capable of solving all technical problems in their specialized range of activity, demonstrate effective communication skills and knowledge of related contemporary issues.
    • MET EOHD4: Provide students with an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility and the ability to engage in, life-long learning.

     

  • Bachelor of Science Program Educational Objectives

    • MET PEO1: Provide a broad-based curriculum in Meteorology Program that generates graduates having competency in weather observations, meteorological instruments, coding/decoding meteorological reports, weather charts plotting and analyses, weather forecasting techniques, numerical weather analyses, climate data management, numerical weather modeling, climate monitoring and prediction, air quality, atmospheric sciences studies and related fields.
    • MET PEO2: Provide students with laboratory and on-the-job training and practice experiences associated with each of the competency areas outlined in Objective MET PEO1.
    • MET PEO3: Provide students with teamwork and leadership experiences while demonstrating effective communication skills and knowledge of related contemporary issues.
    • MET PEO4: Provide students with an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility and the ability to engage in, life-long learning.
    • MET PEO5: Provide students with the necessary education solving problems in the atmospheric sciences and related disciplines, through service in business or as educators, researchers, and leaders in academia, government, the private sector, and civil society.
