Short Bio

Dr. Mohammad has extensive and diverse experience in the oil and gas industry (exploration and development). This began as a mud logger (on and offshore - Qatar and Yemen), progressing to a supervisory position of mud logging operations and thereafter, as a geologist for an unconventional shale gas project for Shell Plc (Alum Shale, Sweden). This developed further, into planning and supervision of the drilling performance for the unconventional oil shale project in Jordan (again, with Shell Plc). Dr. Mohammad has added petroleum geochemistry knowledge (e.g. applied geochemistry analytical skills to the study of petroleum systems, particularly source rocks, hydrocarbon generation and petroleum fluids using GC, GC-MS, GCGC ToF-MS, GC-IRMS, Biomarker and organic petrography with basic basin modelling software) relevant to his geological and exploration background by completing a PhD study on one of the largest unconventional hydrocarbon resources shale under the supervision of senior geochemists at Newcastle University (UK) and the Shell Rijswijk research center; this was part of Shell plc planning to use In situ Conversion Process (ICP) technology.

Dr. Mohammad is currently an Assistant Professor at Petroleum Engineering Technology of the Institute of applied technology
