Short Bio

Shaaban ALI has completed his PhD from Australian Defence force Academy, UNSW@ADFA, Australia. Previously he worked as assistant professor at Mechanical Engineering Department, Assiut University. Currently he is a faculty at Electromechanical Department, Abu Dhabi Polytechnic. His research involved intelligent adaptive control, UAV, identification and control.

He has supervised 10 senior design projects that cover the areas of electromechanical engineering systems. Most of which have been selected and presented in national competitions. One project win 100K AED from ICT funding in UAE. Another project; water sample payload design got funding from Lockheed Martin and Mubadal in UAE. Before joining the Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, he worked as a senior mechanical design engineer at Electro Optical Systems, Military Division, Australia. Whilst pursing his PhD, he received prestigious awards from The Australian Society for Defence Engineering for the most outstanding thesis in the field of Defence Engineering and The T. F. C. Lawrence Prize for the significant and excellent contribution in the field of aeronautical science funded by Australian Aeronautical society. He is a reviewer and a member of different IEEE conferences and journals.
