Memorandum of Understanding between Polytechnic Abu Dhabi and the National Center of Meteorology and Seismology at 16/2/2015

 

 

 

The " Abu Dhabi Polytechnic," the Institute of Applied Technology , for the first time in the Middle East , established a bachelor, higher diploma and diploma program in meteorology science program, in cooperation with the National Center for Meteorology and Seismology.
 
The Executive Director of the Institute, Director of Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awar signed a Memorandum of Understanding in this regard with the Executive Director of the National Center for Meteorology and Seismology, Dr. Abdullah Al-Mandoos with the presence of a group of officials.

 


Dr. Ahmad Al-Awar said: "This memorandum for the launch of this new program is a result of a deep negotiations and joint efforts of the two sides.  The program has already begun with the participation of twelve citizens, studying at the Polytechnic to get a bachelor's degree in the science of meteorology, according to the highest scientific and practical levels." Dr. Al-Awar explained that " Abu Dhabi Polytechnic will provide all human and technical abilities necessary for the rehabilitation of cadres, specializing in the science of meteorology sector, and be ready to work at the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology immediately after graduation, pointing out that the Institute of Applied Technology is currently taking all the necessary measures, for Academic Accreditation of the Ministry of Higher Education for this program, in the near future."

 
For his part, Executive Director of the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology, Dr. Abdullah Al-Mandoos said: " the cooperation with" Polytechnic Abu Dhabi "contributes to achieve  the dream of establishing this program in the UAE, which it is one of the strategic  policies and objectives of the center, since the release of the head of state, the decree of establishing the center in 2007, and the direct guidance of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
