Dr. Houda Majid has an interdisciplinary academic and research background in engineering systems, environmental sustainability, innovation, and human-centered design thinking. She obtained her Ph.D. in Engineering Systems and Management from Khalifa University, where her dissertation focused on sustainable produced water management. Her research integrated Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Optimization, and System Dynamics to address complex environmental and resource-management challenges and support sustainable decision-making. Her work has been published in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals, and she has presented her research at international conferences.
In addition to her engineering and sustainability research, Dr. Majid has experience in human-centered design thinking, applying user-centered approaches to creativity, problem-solving, and innovation. Her interests include sustainability, innovation, entrepreneurship, and human-centered design.
At Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, she teaches Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Environmental Sustainability, with an emphasis on experiential learning, creative problem-solving, and connecting academic concepts with practical, real-world applications.
