Dr. Bashar Abu Shunnar

Dr. Bashar Abu Shunnar holds a Ph.D. in Education with a focus on Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from The British University in Dubai, in collaboration with the University of Glasgow. With over 15 years of experience, he serves as an Assistant Professor at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, where he has taught, developed, and led various English language and education courses. His expertise encompasses undergraduate programs in English for Specific Purposes (ESP), English for Academic Purposes (EAP), as well as various facets of educational research, public speaking, and personal development. Dr. Bashar Abu Shunnar has made significant contributions to curriculum design, student and faculty development, and has actively participated in organizing social and educational events, underscoring his dedication to cultivating a dynamic learning environment and fostering student success. His research interests revolve around enhancing communication skills through digital media, exploring Emirati students’ perspectives on academic advising, and investigating motivation in online classes.
