Dr. John obtained her Ph.D. in 2024 from the United Arab Emirates University with distinction (GPA: 3.85/4.0), with doctoral research focused on optimizing photoacoustic imaging through advanced reconstruction techniques and deep learning applications.
With over 10 years of diverse teaching experience across multiple institutions and countries, Dr. John has demonstrated remarkable versatility in education and research. Her academic journey spans from her foundational degrees at Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), India, where she earned both her M.Sc. in 2015 and B.Sc. in 2013 in Electronics and Communication Engineering, to her advanced doctoral studies in the UAE. Throughout her career, she has taught at various prestigious universities in both the UAE and India.
Dr. John’s current research focus centers on Natural Language Processing, large language models (LLMs), agentic AI systems, signal processing, and deep learning, making her uniquely qualified to bridge theoretical concepts with practical AI applications in education. Her impressive publication record includes over nine peer-reviewed articles in top-tier journals including IEEE Access, Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing, and Signal Processing. Her research contributions span computational imaging, deep learning architectures, and artificial intelligence applications across multiple domains.
Her academic excellence has been recognized through various achievements, including winning second place in the Three Minutes Thesis Competition 2022 at the College of Engineering, UAE University, and her participation in the prestigious Oxford Machine Learning Summer School (OxML) 2023. Dr. John’s technical expertise encompasses transformer models, neural networks, programming languages including Python and MATLAB, and advanced machine learning frameworks.
