Julia is an Instructor of English at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic in Al Ain campus. She has a strong academic background in English Language, Linguistics and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).

She has more than 12 years of teaching experience in a wide variety of settings. She has taught both General English in Poland and Spain, and English for Academic Purposes at the Ningbo Institute of Technology, China, and University of Bristol, UK. For the last five years, she has been living in the UAE and teaching in the public school system, as well as volunteering to author centrally developed assessments in English.

Julia’s teaching philosophy focuses on the importance of fostering students’ autonomy through developing research skills, peer learning and peer feedback. She believes in the importance of collaborative learning and dialogic feedback, which can guide students towards their academic success.
