Dr. Najm holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia. He is an experienced academic with over 15 years of combined experience across the IT industry, teaching, and research. He has worked in diverse academic roles at several international institutions. He also holds multiple industry-recognized professional certifications from AccessData, VMware, Microsoft, and Cisco, reflecting his strong engagement with applied and industry-relevant technologies.
Dr. Najm primary research interests focus on addressing security challenges in emerging paradigms such as the Internet of Nano Things (IoNT) and the Internet of Things (IoT). His work also explores graphene-based terahertz communication technologies to enable efficient, secure, and sustainable operation of nanoscale devices within IoNT domain.
He has published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including the IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Access, IET Blockchain, and Elsevier Nano Communication Networks. He has also presented his research at reputable international conferences such as the EAI International Conference on Body Area Networks and ACM International Conference on Nanoscale Computing and Communication (NanoCom).
