Dr. Yasir Hamid is an Assistant Professor of Information Security Engineering Technology at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Pondicherry University, India, in 2019. He holds a Master of Computer Applications (2014) and a Bachelor of Computer Applications (2011) from the University of Kashmir, India.
Prior to joining Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, Dr. Yasir served as an Assistant Professor at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), India, and earlier worked as a Teaching Assistant at Pondicherry Engineering College. These roles have contributed to his strong academic foundation and diverse teaching experience across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Dr. Yasir is an active member of several scientific and professional societies and serves on the editorial boards of multiple academic journals. His research interests include Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Big Data Analytics, and Information Security. He has published numerous research articles in peer-reviewed international journals and has presented his work at international conferences.
