Ajay Parottil joined Abu Dhabi Polytechnic as an Assistant Professor in the Meteorology Department after completing his PhD in Atmospheric Science at Dibrugarh University, India. He previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), USA, where he contributed to a NASA-funded project examining aerosol vertical transport and wet scavenging in deep convection. He also worked at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) under the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), where he investigated aerosol–climate feedback on heat stress characteristics using regional climate models. His expertise spans aerosol transport, wet scavenging, and aerosol–climate interactions using advanced climate and regional models, complemented by hands-on experience in atmospheric observations and data analysis. He has authored 13 international publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and delivered more than 10 presentations at international conferences.
