Dr. Seyda Tilev

Seyda Tilev received her PhD from Istanbul Technical University, Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Atmospheric Sciences program. She conducted her PhD research at The University of Manchester, School of Earth and Environmental Sciences with the scholarship of The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. She studied Satellite Communication and Remote sensing in ITU Informatics Institutes for her Masters. Her background is Meteorological Engineering. She joined Abu Dhabi Polytechnic in 2015. Before joining ADPoly, she has held lecturing and research positions at Istanbul Technical University, Meteorology Department. Became a part of many funded research projects with roles from research assistant to lead investigator. Published many SCI articles, book chapters, and proceedings; has more than 20 international conference presentations. She has experience in Linux, Unix, Windows Operating Systems, WRF, WRFDA, Hysplit, WAsP, PRECIS Models, programming with Fortran, Bash-Scripting, NCL, html, visualization programs such as RIP, NCL, GrADS, IDV, ArcGIS, QGIS and many other scientific tools
