Program Description


The Electrical Engineering Technology specialization within the Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineering Technology (EMET) program at ADPoly is designed to meet the industry’s demand for skilled professionals in electrical engineering. The curriculum offers a comprehensive mix of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, including laboratory work and on campus training (OCTs). Students gain competence in electrical circuits, digital logic design, power systems, signal processing and electronic circuits. This builds a strong foundation in both foundational and advanced areas in electrical engineering. The curriculum also encourages practical training and On-campus-training where practical tasks are completed on industrial grade equipment. Most courses in the electrical engineering curriculum have a practical lab component to enhance the hands-on skills of graduates.

In addition to enriching students with technical skills, the electrical engineering program also incorporates essential soft skills like problem-solving, communication, and teamwork, making them valuable assets in any professional setting. The program’s alignment with both CAA and ABET standards reflects its commitment to quality education and global recognition. Program Description

To align with the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and the increasing role of digital technologies, ADPoly offers an optional Minor in Artificial Intelligence within the Electrical Engineering Technology specialization. This minor enables students to build specialized knowledge in AI through four additional courses (totaling 12 credit hours), covering topics related to AI. These courses provide a foundation in AI technologies, preparing students for roles in AI-driven industries and enhancing their expertise in the evolving digital economy.
