Hiba Y. Al-Khodire joined Abu Dhabi Polytechnic as an instructor in January 2022 and became a member of the EMET Mechanical Focus group in 2023. Since 2014, she has actively participated in various research groups. In 2017, her research paper on the use of nanotechnology for semiconductor radiation detectors was recognized by the King Abdullah II Development Fund (KAFD) Research and Innovation Support program as the best scientific paper of the year. During her graduate studies at KAIST, she conducted research under the supervision of the Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety (KINS), focusing on thermal hydraulics and nuclear accidents, particularly Loss of Coolant Accidents (LOCA). Her work aimed at ensuring efficient heat removal from the reactor core while maintaining safe operating conditions, and the Halden 650.4 Test. She also serves as a reviewer for the International Conference on Nuclear Engineering (ICONE) organized by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
