Eng. Omar Baalbaki earned a BSc in Mechatronics Engineering from Al-Balqa Applied University and a Fab Academy Diploma lead by the MIT Center for Bits and Atoms (ATOM Lab) director . He has actively participated in international events such as FABX, IAC, SOFEX, Erasmus+, Hult Prize, InfoMatrix, ELO, Minesweeper, and CODE.
During his academic journey, Eng. Omar served as the Chair of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) and the Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society (AESS) for the Al-Balqa Applied University branch. His leadership roles allowed him to foster collaboration, mentor students, and advance robotics education initiatives within the IEEE community.
His professional interests focus on aerospace robotics solutions, with a strong emphasis on innovation, digital fabrication, and open-source collaboration. Eng. Omar’s work bridges engineering and applied research, contributing to projects that aim to solve real-world technological challenges.
