Namat Ahmad Bachir holds a BSc and MSc in Electrical Engineering from United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), graduating with distinction. She has extensive teaching and research experience in control systems, electromechanical engineering, industrial automation, computer vision, and embedded systems.
Her research interests include artificial intelligence, deep learning, computer vision, and intelligent autonomous systems. Her master’s research focused on UAV-based human detection for search-and-rescue operations in challenging environments, including mountainous regions. Her research contributions include publications in peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings, with a focus on AI-driven engineering solutions.
Namat has received first-place recognition in prominent science, technology, and robotics competitions, including Think Science, the National Science Technology and Innovation (NSTI) Festival, and VEX Robotics.
She is committed to integrating applied research with engineering education, fostering student innovation, and developing intelligent technologies that support the UAE’s vision for technological advancement and sustainable development.
